Can Colon Hydrotherapy Affect the Flora Balance?
Good bacteria typically do not inhabit colons that have old wastes stuck to their walls. This is because such toxic colons are basically anaerobic (oxygen poor). The only bacteria that can thrive in such a colon are the bad bacteria that ruin your colon's health and cause trouble. Therefore, colon hydrotherapy washes out both the bad bacteria and the environment in which it grows. Once this is done a healthy (aerobic or oxygen rich) environment has the opportunity to establish itself in the colon. Good bacteria can then re-colonize the colon and rejuvenate the large intestine's function.

There are three ways to re-introduce good flora into the colon: Cl) through eating foods containing good flora, such as kefir, yogurt, sauerkraut, etc., (2) by taking probiotics orally, and (3) through direct introduction of these cultures into the colon.

Can Colon Hydrotherapy Affect the Electrolyte Balance?
Colon hydrotherapy has very little effect on the balance of electrolytes. The few that are lost can be replaced immediately by drinking liquid minerals, fresh juices or herbal teas. This is probably the best investment you can make in your health since its is preventative in nature. Traditional medicine,

with its high-priced prescription drugs, specialized treatments and hospital stays, is much more expensive and is not generally practiced to prevent problems, just treat them. It took years for your colon to accumulate the layers of toxic waste encrusting it.

Removing these wastes must be done gently so as to avoid stressing the body. Only one technique-Surgery-can remove this waste in a single procedure, and that approach would be devastating to the body. Instead, a series of colon hydrotherapies is strongly recommended to wash away the years of built-up waste in the colon. Everything depends on the individual's specific situation and circumstances. This includes the amount of waste that has accumulated in the colon, its consistency, the health of the colon itself, whether it has constrictions or "ballooning," and other physical parameters.

The maximum benefit is achieved if the sessions are done in pairs, for example, two days in a row. This schedule increases the amount of waste material expelled from the colon because the water from the first session saturates and softens the remaining waste for the next day's session. After completing the number appropriate for a given person, it is recommended that he or she go on a maintenance schedule dependent on each person's circumstances such as health condition, eating habits, etc.
