Symptoms of Body Detoxification: What To Watch Out For
Are you planning a body detox?

Although it can be the start to a new, healthier lifestyle, there are certain symptoms you may experience during the course of the detox. You should be aware of these and not let them discourage you from continuing this important step towards better health.

At first you may feel so poorly that you want to revert back to your old habits. You may also feel the detox is not working because suddenly you feel worse than before you started it. Irritability and fatigue are two of the most common symptoms. Even though you will be better off if you stick to it, at the beginning you may not feel better at all. Many people are not willing to tolerate the discomfort, and they give up on the program.

Some of the symptoms of a body detox may include:

- Tiredness and lack of energy
- Irritability
- Sleeping difficulties--not able to sleep or sleeping too much
- Muscle weakness and fatigue
- Lack of motivation

If you want to succeed with your intentions of having a healthier lifestyle, it is important that you wait out the sympotoms. Remember that your body reserves its energy for its important internal functions, which causes you to be low on energy during the process.

Try to take it easy physically and limit your social activities until your detox is complete and your body has had time to regenerate.

During a detox you may feel sick when in fact your body is actually trying to recover, remove the toxins, and replenish itself . when you understand from the start that these symptoms may occur, it will make the discomfort easier for you to accept while you patiently wait for the symptoms to pass. When that finally occurs, you will feel in your body and mind an improved sense of health and well-being.

Many people are begining to taking advantage of one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to detoxification: a sauna. Saunas have long been a traditional method of achieving good health. The scientific community is beginning to uncover the science behind the beneficial effects of heat on the body.

When you sweat, excess moisture is drawn from the skin. Profuse sweating requires more moisture than is normally found between your skin cells. Continued sweating has to draw moisture from within the cells. It is this inner cellular fluid that contains most of the toxins in your system. The excessive sweating caused by the high heat and moist conditions of a sauna effectively draws the toxins out of the cells along with the water. In effect you simply sit there relaxing while the sauna does all the work. What could be better?
